I vividly remember watching this one with my parents. I also remember the three of us hoping that this was a return of Richie Brockelman Private Eye. No dice sadly.

Many sources claim this episode, and a couple of others, are inspired by 'Shady Deal in Sunny Acres' from season 2 of Maverick. I watched it and yup. Also, you should seek that out, it is very good.
